Hi parents of our full of energy and much loved Monitos.
This week we are learning about the water and its cycle, the wind and the rocks.
We will be practicing “YO-TU” (I and you) ,”Para quien?” (For whom?) and “A quien?” (Who?)
We will continue to practice our new songs “El sapo”, “ El lagartijo”, “Atencion Atencion”, and “El Valiente Martin”.
What is more important for all us are the social skills of our Monitos. We are enforcing and we ask for your help at home and during the weekends, to practice some of the following good behaviors:
-Say please and thank you (In Spanish and in English)
-Stay properly seated at dinner time
-Help picking up our plate or cup
-Following directions without saying “No”
-Listening when someone is talking to us
-Expressing our feelings with words or drawings
-Asking for what we need with complete phrases
-Being kind to others (Friends, Parents and Teachers)
We will price good behaviors at school by filling up a bucket with cotton balls; in exchange our child will receive a special treat from the teachers.
We encourage you to find a similar activity that will motivate our Monitos at home.
We appreciate all your book donations. With them we are enjoying our reading time, improving our linguistic skills, recognizing objects, figures, animals and colors. Gracias.
