Dear Monitos Parents,
The last week of Summer Camp is finally here and we want to thank you for giving us the opportunity  to teach and take care of your little children. We feel special and value our work and we are glad that the children have experienced new learning adventures with hands-on play during the summer. This week we will learn to be Little Clowns and Magicians. We will discuss about the animals and the magicians in the circus and we have scheduled exciting learning activities related to this theme that will allow us to continue strengthening motor, cognitive-sensory and language skills such as creating puppets and painting a circus tent, reading short stories about the life in the circus and walking over a striped carpet and play with balls.

      Have your child wear swimsuit, splashers or swim diapers and water shoes for Splash Day. Bring a towel and a plastic bag for wet items. Pack all these items in a tote bag for your child. We recommend to label the bag, swimsuit, towel and shoes with your child’s name.

      Check your child’s cubby and make sure to remove everything and take it home.
      Sunscreen and mosquito repellant are important to protect your child because he/she is very susceptible to sunburn/mosquito bites. Yet applying sunscreen and mosquito repellent to your child requires planning. If sunscreen and mosquito repellent must be applied to your child, make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when sunscreen and mosquito repellant should be applied and be sure to supply the sunscreen and mosquito repellant, label the bottles with your child's name and place them in a ziploc bag. Dear Monitos Parents,
We are getting down to the last few weeks of Summer Camp! This week we will learn to be Little Athletes. We will continue creating safe learning environments that offer the children the opportunity to explore sports. We have scheduled exciting learning activities that will allow us to continue strengthening motor, cognitive-sensory and language skills. One of them is the Olympics Parade at Sff! Children should wear sports clothes for the parade. They will also participate in competitions with Sapitos and Ositos and on Friday, they will have so much fun on our bike ride. We will also create the Olympic Torch and Rings as an art project.

This week we will learn to be little creators. We will continue creating safe learning environments that offer the children the opportunity to explore, experiment and create products or inventions using a variety of recycled materials. We will read books about recycling, decorate and paint recycled boxes and create colored ice so children can feel the texture.

We have scheduled exciting learning activities that will allow us to continue strengthening motor and cognitive-sensory skills. Children will also have fun while working on different art projects through the week.

Children will learn about the aquatic animals and colors and we will experiment with water and colors and we will explore the plants and insects in our surroundings.

We will be scheduling the following fun learning activities so children can continue strengthening motor, language and cognitive-sensory skills such as working on art projects and reading story about aquatic animals during story time.

We will be scheduling the following fun learning activities so children can enjoy contact with nature and continue strengthening motor, language and cognitive-sensory skills:

      For motor skills: We will create art projects of diverse colors with play dough.
      For language skills: We will read about fun adventure stories about camping.
      For cognitive/sensorial skills: We will decorate and paint pots using different materials so children can feel different textures.

We are going to discuss about the american flag, its color and the stars and what they represent. We are scheduling exciting learning activities that will allow us to continue strengthening motor and cognitive-sensory skills such as:
      Reading books about United States.
      Build a plane with boxes.
      Create the American Flag with printed paper balls.
