Week of June 27th-July 1st

Blog Title: Little Travelers
Classroom: Monitos
Week: June 27th thru July 1st
Weekly Featured Theme: Celebrating the country where we live

πŸ”  What are we learning?

Dear Monitos Parents,
This week we will learn to be little travelers and we will celebrate the country where we live. The children will learn about interesting facts of USA. We are going to discuss about the american flag, its color and the stars and what they represent. We are scheduling exciting learning activities that will allow us to continue strengthening motor and cognitive-sensory skills such as:
      Reading books about United States.
      Build a plane with boxes.
Create the American Flag with printed paper balls.
Thank you once again for all your support and for letting us play such an important role in your child’s life.

Best Regards,
Miss Cristina and Miss MarΓa

πŸ“„ Materials for Special Projects/Activities
Have your child wear a swimsuit if the Splash days are taking place in the mornings.

πŸ”† Friendly Reminders
Check your child’s cubby and make sure to bring extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather.
Sunscreen and mosquito repellant are important to protect your child because he/she is very susceptible to sunburn/mosquito bites. Yet applying sunscreen and mosquito repellent to your child requires planning. If sunscreen and mosquito repellent must be applied to your child, make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when sunscreen and mosquito repellant should be applied and be sure to supply the sunscreen and mosquito repellant, label the bottles with your child's name and place them in a ziploc bag. We will also appreciate if sunscreen is applied to the child in the morning before dropping him/her at the preschool.
Remove wet clothing from the cubby on Splash days.

πŸ“† Holidays & Upcoming Events
Splash days on Mondays in the morning and Thursdays in the afternoon.
Flag Parade on Friday, July 1st.
School will be closed on Independence Day, Monday, July 4th.
