Week of July 5th-8th

Classroom: Monitos
Blog Title: Little Readers
Week: July 4th thru July 8th
Weekly Featured Theme: Reading & Story Books

πŸ”  What are we learning?

Dear Monitos Parents,
This week we will learn to be little readers. Children will enjoy sharing with the classroom their favorite story book and dramatizing their favorite character. We are scheduling exciting learning activities that will allow us to continue strengthening motor and cognitive-sensory skills such as participating in a Pajama party and creating crowns and shields for the Parade, etc.

Thank you once again for all your support and for letting us play such an important role in your child’s life.

Best Regards,
Miss Cristina and Miss MarΓa

πŸ“„ Materials for Special Projects
Bring swimsuit, splashers or swim diapers and towel for your child on Splash days.
Have your child wear his/her favorite pajamas and bring your child’s sleeping bag and favorite book for Pajama day (see holiday and upcoming events section for dates).
Bring favorite knights or princess doll for Character Doll Day.
Have your child wear the outfit of their favorite character of a story book for Princess and Knight Dress up Parade (see holiday and upcoming events section for dates).

πŸ”† Friendly Reminders
Check your child’s cubby and make sure to bring extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather.
Sunscreen and mosquito repellant are important to protect your child because he/she is very susceptible to sunburn/mosquito bites. Yet applying sunscreen and mosquito repellent to your child requires planning. If sunscreen and mosquito repellent must be applied to your child, make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when sunscreen and mosquito repellant should be applied and be sure to supply the sunscreen and mosquito repellant, label the bottles with your child's name and place them in a ziploc bag. We will also appreciate if sunscreen is applied to the child in the morning before dropping him/her at the preschool.
Remove wet clothing from the cubby on Splash days.

πŸ“† Holidays & Upcoming Events
School will be closed on Independence Day, Monday, July 4th.
Pajama Day on Tuesday, July 5.
Character Doll Day on Wednesday, July 6.
Princess and Knight Dress up Parade on Friday, July 8.
