Week of July 25th-29th

Classroom: Monitos
Blog Title: Summer Camp
Week: July 25th to July 29th, 2016
Weekly Featured Theme: Little Creators

πŸ”  What are we learning?

Dear Monitos Parents,
This week we will learn to be little creators. We will continue creating safe learning environments that offer the children the opportunity to explore, experiment and create products or inventions using a variety of recycled materials. We will read books about recycling, decorate and paint recycled boxes and create colored ice so children can feel the texture.

We have scheduled exciting learning activities that will allow us to continue strengthening motor and cognitive-sensory skills. Children will also have fun while working on different art projects through the week.

Thank you once again for all your support and for letting us play such an important role in your child’s life.

Best Regards,
Miss Cristina and Miss MarΓa Gracia

πŸ“„ Materials for Special Projects
Have your child wear swimsuit, splashers or swim diapers and water shoes for Splash Day. Bring a towel and a plastic bag for wet items. Pack all these items in a tote bag for your child. We recommend to label the bag, swimsuit, towel and shoes with your child’s name
Bring a plastic animal for Monday’s activity.

πŸ”† Friendly Reminders
Check your child’s cubby and make sure to bring extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather.
Sunscreen and mosquito repellant are important to protect your child because he/she is very susceptible to sunburn/mosquito bites. Yet applying sunscreen and mosquito repellent to your child requires planning. If sunscreen and mosquito repellent must be applied to your child, make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when sunscreen and mosquito repellant should be applied and be sure to supply the sunscreen and mosquito repellant, label the bottles with your child's name and place them in a ziploc bag. We will also appreciate if sunscreen is applied to the child in the morning before dropping him/her at the preschool.
Remove wet clothing from the cubby on Splash days.

πŸ“† Holidays & Upcoming Events
      Water Play on Monday.
Art Project using recycled boxes on Tuesday.
Art Project using recycled bottles on Wednesday.
