Congratulations to our student of the week: Margot Perkinson

Mauri will visit Valentina Pineda’s House this week. Have fun!

On Tuesday we will share “The favorite book”. Please don’t forget to bring your child’s favorite book to share with our little monkeys.

Thanks to Mrs Dawn Harris who visited our classroom last Friday. Our little monkeys had a blast listening to the story about “Five Little Penguins” and created and awesome art with the patterns that she brought.

This week The Scholastic Book Fair is visiting our school, we encourage you to pick up items for your child and our classroom, if you would like to donate books for our classroom; you will find a wish list at our door with the titles we have selected; we appreciate your support. Thank you for your donations!

Reminders:
We got some beautiful rockets but we are still missing others. Please bring it this week.
As part of our Book Worm Club at the end of every month we will ask one child to bring his or her favorite book to share with the class.


Thanks to Noah's parents for celebrating Noah's B-day with the little monkeys last Friday.
Everybody enjoyed the yummy cupcakes.
Our little monkeys are doing great with the "Favorite Toy" activity every Friday at circle time. They have learned how to show and share their favorite toy with their friends. Thanks to all our wonderful parents who have been helping us to teach their children to put the favorite toy in their cubbies. God Job Mom and Dad!

Dear Monitos Parents

Our theme this week is The Universe and Me.

We will continue practicing the words of the last two weeks plus:

Our student of the week is Ella Diaz. Congratulations!

This week Mauri will be visiting Natalie Simora’s house. Buen Viaje!

We expect to get the Rocket Ship decorated (All art together) this week.

We can’t wait to see your beautiful creation.

Dear Parents: If you have any old clothes at home that you would like to donate and are related to work or gender role, you may bring them to our classroom, we would greatly appreciated items like ties, vests, aprons. Thank you.

Congratulations to the student of the week: Braydon Plummer.

To keep your child warm at the playground don’t forget to bring: a hat, gloves, a jacket and also a cozy blanket for nap time.

We are enclosing to your journal the Monitos bookworm club form on Thursday, don’t forget to take it home and bring it back every week recording the time you are reading to your child.

As the theme for this month is “The universe and me” our project for All art together is a Rocket. We will send home the patterns this week. Be creative as much as you can.

Thank you to Marco’s family who came last week to share a special time with our little monkeys. We enjoyed the pictures, the story and the robots.

Please note next Monday the school will be closed in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day
