Week of Feb 27th - Mar 2nd!‏

Dear Monitos Parents
 
We continue working the theme of the Month: “THE PLANT KINGDOM”: and this
week we will focus on the Fruits.
The words of the week; in addition to the words that we were practicing
these last weeks, are:
 
The fruits: apple, orange, banana, strawberry, grapes.
Las frutas: la manzana, la naranja, el platano, la fresa, las uvas.
 
Words: I don’t like it, where is it?, to share.
Palabras: No me gusta, Donde esta? Compartir.
 
Special events this week:
Happy Birthday Ella Diaz. She will turn three on Monday 27th. She is a big
Girl!!! 
The winner of our Monitos Bookworm Club this month is 
Dean Jones with 335 minutes
second place goes to  Vivian Morales with 270 minutes.
Congratulations Dean and Vivian! , we are so proud of you.
Welcome to our new friend Lucas, who will be joining the Little Monkey’s
classroom as a part-time student.
 
Reminders (Recordatorios a los Padres de Familia):
Since March the Little Monkeys will be practicing the healthy habit of
brushing their teeth. Please bring a toothpaste  and a toothbrush with a
cap in a Ziploc bag for your child.
Homework this week (Tarea de esta semana):
This week our Little Monkeys will make a yummy fruit salad by Thursday,
March 1st. if you want to bring your child’s favorite fruit it will be
very welcomed.
Again we want to thank all our wonderful parents and lovely Little Monkeys
for your cards, hugs, kisses, flowers, yummy goodies and all the special
things provided during the Teacher’s Appreciation Week.  We really
appreciate it and we want to let you know that your children are LITTLE
TREASURES in our hands, and every day we do our best to teach and care
them with love.
The last Friday everybody looked so cute and felt so comfortable wearing
pajama!!!!!!!.

Week of February 20th - 24th

Dear Monitos Parents
 
Thank you for the wonderful Appreciation Week you carefully dedicated to
our teachers, we are very grateful to have children so wonderful and for
all their cards, hugs, kisses, flowers, food, candies, chocolates and
special things provided during this exceptional week. Gracias!
 
Our theme of the Month is  “The Plant Kingdom" and this week we will be
talking about  The Vegetables.
The words of the week we will learn  in addition to the words that we were
practicing these last weeks, are:
The vegetables: lettuce, tomato, cucumber, potato, red pepper.
Words: heart, I love you, the friends.
 
Special events this week:
Mauri has been enjoying the time with all the children, doing interesting 
and funny things with everyone. This week Mauri will finish his tour to
our Little Monkeys’ houses and his last visit will be to Adrian
Vila-Parrish’s house. HAVE FUN!!!!!!!
 
Remainders:
Please, remember to bring your child's blanket on their first day of school.
 
Our children and their parents did a beautiful art job. Our classroom
looks cute with all the hearts. Thank you to everybody!!!!!
This week our Little Monkeys will do a Cherry Blossom art and also will
make a yummy vegetable salad.
 
Our Valentine’s Day Celebration was a successful event thanks to the
effort and collaboration of our great parents. Everybody enjoyed it.
Special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Conklin who have donated a big box of
blocks for the Little Monkeys classroom. Our children are very happy to
have new blocks to play with. The teachers and Sff! appreciate so much
your generosity.
 
Since this month our classroom will establish   “PIJAMA DAY” on the last
Friday of every month . How fun! Please bring your Little Monkey dress up
with his/her favorite pajama this Friday  February 24th.

Week of February 13 - 17th.

Dear Monitos Parents:

Our theme this month is "The “Plant Kingdom" and we will be talking about
the Garden this week.

The words we will be learning are :

Las hojas-The leaves
El fruto-the fruit
Despierto-Awake
Dormido-Asleep
Grande-Big
Pequenio-Small
Me gusta- I like it

Reminders
This Tuesday is Valentine’s Day, don’t forget to wear “red” or "pink".
We encourage your child to find and bring in natural things like leaves,
pinecones, acorns, flowers in a plastic bag (Ziploc) with his/her name to
share with the other children in the classroom.

Please remember to bring your amazing art “The Heart” this week.

Our Valentine’s celebration will be held at 3:00 o’clock on Tuesday.
We will share a special snack with our little monkey and our special guests :

Valentina Pineda and Valentina Agudelo.

Week of February 6 - 10

Dear Monitos Parents
 
This week we begin working the theme "The Vegetable Kingdom" - El Reino
Vegetal; and we will learn about the plants, its parts and how to take
care of them. We will be working the number seven-siete. And we will be
working on a special art project for Valentine's Day too.
 
The words we will learn this week are:

Next Tuesday is Valentine's Day and we will have tons of fun celebrating
it in our classroom.
 
Reminders:
Please don¡¦t forget to write down on your child¡¦s journal or on our
board, the last diaper change before coming to the school.
And please make sure your child has enough wipes and diapers for the week.
 
This week we will send home the template for our All Art together
project for this month. Be creative as much as you can 
Please avoid using foam or glitter with your twos.
 
The winner of our Book worm club on January was Dean Jones with 365
minutes. Wow!! Good job. Keep it up Dean.
 
Special thanks to Mrs Medina Sampson for coming to our classroom last
Friday and show our little monitos how to brush their teeth: "Round and
Round twice a day for two minutes"
 
Thank you for your book donations for our Monitos class library. We are
very happy with the new additions.
 
Last day of Scholastic Book Fair is Friday February 10th.
