Week of February 25th - March 1st !!!


Hola Monitos Parents!

The theme of the week will continue to be: "The Plant Kingdom "
This is the last week talking and learning about plants. We will also continue working with our colors and shapes.

Special activities:
*We will plant a bean in cotton to observe how it grows.
*For our science activity, we will see how celery changes its color.
*And, we will have lots of fun making small trees with carrots and broccoli!

week of February 18- 22nd!


Dear Monitos Class:
Our Theme of the Month/Week (Tema del Mes/Semana): “The Plant Kingdom”/“El Reino Vegetal”
We will continue practicing the same words, colors, numbers and shapes that we have been learning this month.
Special events this week/Welcome/Student of the week/Birthdays (Eventos especiales esta semana/Bienvenida/Estudiante de la Semana/Cumpleanos):

Our Student of the Week is RITCHIE DE JESUS KOSHEL. We can’t wait to listen to his Mom and know more about him, his favorite things, toys, books and so on.
Our special activity: we will make a palm tree with fruits.

All of them will turn three. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CORINNE, MEADOW AND SAM!!!!
Reminders:

All Art Together: We are still waiting for some petals to complete our big flower on the wall. We will appreciate if you can bring it back this week.

Events this week
*This week we will talk about the cycle life of the flower and its parts; we will observe pictures,  touch flowers, and do many artwork.
*This Thursday we will have a small celebration for Valentine's.  Remember the most important
of this day is share time with our friends and show how important they are to us.
*The student of the week is ELIAS RIVERA we can't wait to know more about you.
* Miss Amparo is also celebrating her Birthday. Felicidades!

Maury the Monkey is visiting Corinne’s house this week. Maury knows that she is a little bit shy, so he is prepared to make her talk to him a lot, laugh and enjoy his company. They are going to have a lot of fun together.

Our Student of the Week is MEADOW M. PERRY. We are so excited to know more about her and her family.   
The winner of our Monitos’ Bookworm Cub in January was CLAYTON HUGSTON. He got him a little prize from his teachers, and congratulations to his parents for their efforts.
Reminders (Recordatorios a los Padres de Familia):
This week we will send home the template for our “All Art together” project for this month will be a petal. With the 17 petals that our wonderful parents and our Monitos will decorate with art, creativity and so much love, we will make a big and beautiful friendship flower. The due date is February 11th.

A friendly reminder: please remember to label all your children’s belongings, and check their cubbies to leave diapers or pull-ups (if necessary) and extra clothes according to the weather.
Homework this week (Tarea de esta semana):
We will talk about the plants, how they grow and what they need to grow.
Our special activity will be an art project with used ground coffee.
Our special book for Story Time is “The Tiny Little Seed”
