Art Activities: This week we will do:

A tree with the signs of communication media

A window aquarium with construction paper and clear contact paper

An airplane with wooden sticks and wooden clips

A television with cardboard and aluminum foil

Science: we will make a bottle top leaf boat (to explore sink and float)

Math: We will continue practicing 1 to 20, and heart and star shapes

Cognitive and Language: We will learn new words looking the signs of communication media

Cooking experience: we will make blueberry muffin

Dear Monitos Parents

This week our theme is “How thing works”, we will do lots of fun projects like "the power of the light”, "flotation experiment “, how does wheels works and we will create our own phones with cups.

Words of the week:

Special activities:
Art :dandelion blow painting
       Decoration with color sand

Fine motor: sewing/lacing with basic forms

This week is our science fair , please take some time to enjoy our science projects.

Theme of the Week (Tema del Semana): “How We Grow/Como Crecemos”

This week we will be talking about how our body changes as we grow up and what kind of food our body needs to be healthy.

Special Words/Palabras especiales: The Skeleton/El Esqueleto, The Food Guide Pyramid/La Piramide Alimenticia.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Owen Rohrer and Simon Planchart, they will turn three on May 17 and 18.

Homework this week (Tarea de esta semana):

This week we will do:

Nature and Science: we will identify some bones in the skeleton, learn about the Food Guide Pyramid, fill plastic bottles with color sand, and mix primary colors.

Math: Number: from 1 to 20, Shapes: Heart and Star

Cognitive and Language: We will learn new words by reading the following books:

* “The Busy Body Book” by Lizzt Rockwell, “My Amazing Body” by Pat Thomas,

*“The Edible Pyramid” by Loreen Leedy, “Being Active” by Mari C. Schuh

*“The Dairy Group” by Helen Frost

Social Skills: we will look at the Family Pictures to see how we grew up. 

Art: we will paint with our foot, we will do an art mixing the primary colors, a collage with tissue paper, a heart with bubble wrap and make a caterpillar with play dough

Cooking experience: we will make a flower with vegetables and fruits.
