Week of June 30 - July 3rd !

Dear Monitos Parent:

This week Monitos will start a new theme, we will be getting ready for Independence Day the 4th of July celebration.

Words of the week:

·        Bandera/Flag.

·        Estrella/Star.

·        Rojo/Blanco/Azul Red/White/Blue.

This Week:

Monday- We will have Splash Day.

Tuesday- We will have a picnic outside, please send your child’s favorite fruit.

Wednesday- Crazy hair day.

Thursday- July 4th we will have a parade for all class please send your child with the color of the American flag red-white and blue.

Friday-Enjoy the 4th of July. Happy Birthday U.S.A. No School, we will be closed.

Reminders:

Parents for splash days please send your children's swimsuit and towel in a cloth bag because we can't have plastic bags in our classroom. Please label their towel.

Week of June 23rd - 27 th!!!

Dear Monitos parents

The Monitos had a great and fun week enjoying the all activities every day.

Next week our theme is "We are going camping" and we are planning a lot of fun activities for our Monitos.

Words of the week

·        La carpa/ the tend

·        la bolsa para dormir / sleeping bag

·        la linterna / the flashlight

·        la cantinplora / the canteen

·        los insectos /the insect 

·        la fogata /campfire

Activities of the week

·        Monday: We pretend to be explorers, the Monitos can bring canteen, binoculars, flashlight and a small container .

·        Tuesday: We make a campfire and coconut popsicles

·        Wednesday: Pj day and the kids can bring sleeping bags and they favorite story.

·        Thursday: special art work with homemade play dough

·        Friday: Day of camp we need one or two tends just let us know if one of you can bring one.

Splash days

Monday in the afternoon and Thursday in the morning

Remember to send with your child with their bathing suit under their cloth.

On splash day the kids are allow the bring toy to play.

Remember to apply sunscreen in the morning, we will reapply it in the afternoons and check your child cubby and make sure they have extra clothes.

Week of June 16th - 20th!!!

Welcome Monitos to Summer Camp!!

We are going to lots of fun this summer...  so get ready!!!

Activities:

Monday: We welcome Monitos to the Summer Camp.

Tuesday: Sun Glasses Day.

Wednesday: Hat Day.

Thursday: We will play Simon Say.

Friday: We come dress in Hawiian cloths.

Splash days:

Monitos will be having their splash days on Monday afternoon and Thursdays morning. Make sure to send with your child all the items described below.

1- Apply sunscreen at home before the summer camp.

2- On Thursday splash day send your child with there bathing suit under their cloth.

3- If your child would like to bring a toy for splah day only, they are welcome.

4- Send any extra bag to put their wet cloth.

Week of June 9th - 13th !!!

Dear Monitos parent

All this week the kids had so much fun practicing different kinds of sport .The next week we will continue talking about sport, exercise and healthy food.

Words of the week

·         arriba/abajo -- up /down

·         al lado /on the side

·         saltar /jump

·         correr /run

·         nadar /swim

·         patear /kicking

Special activities to the week

*Monday we will do a walk around the school. Please wear your favorite sport clothes and bring a water bottle.

*Tuesday we will have a fun activity when the kids can develop body coordination, and visual motor coordination (food Drawing)

*Wednesday we will play Simon say finding healthy food and sport pictures.

*Thursday we will make a healthy salad .If you child want can bring carrot, lettuce, cucumber and broccoli.

*Friday we will have fun day dancing and making fruit kabob.

Special invitation

Monitos want to invite our father this Thursday 12^th at 8:30 am to a small snack and a special surprise in your special day.

Please confirm during the week if you will be able to join us for this celebration.

We would like to wish Tucker Jones a great summer and a wonderful school year in Sff! Raleigh. We will miss you so much!

REMEMBER

*Friday 13th SFF will be close at 12:30pm. Last day of school year 2013-2014

*Monday 16th is the first day of Summer make sure to bring extra clothes for your child, hat and sunscreen if you would like (make sure to sign the form) Also keep in mind, we will start having our splash days, days soon to be confirmed, and your child will need to bring for those days a bathing suit, towel, and water shoes.
