 Theme of the Week " Las Plantas" "Plants"

 Hello Monitos Parents!

I hope you are doing well. This week we will learn about “The Plants”/“Las Plantas”. This topic is very interesting and the children are sure to enjoy it! We will do projects as the bean we have planted germinates. Also, we will be going on an adventure around the school looking for different kinds of flowers.

Our goal for this week is to help our Monitos understand why plants are so important!

Activities:
On Thursday we will go on an expedition to find and learn more about the plants. Please send with your child binoculars or magnifiers (lupas). Thank you for your support!

Theme of the week “The Animals” “Los Animales”

Hola Parents!
This is the last week we will be talking about animals. This is a very fun topic for our Monitos, they enjoy learning and talking about animals. This week our goal is to learn more about the differences between the wild and domestic animals.  We are also excited about what animals we will see at the museum.
On Monday we will have a fun activity where they will paint to the beat of the classic music.

Museum Field Trip: Next Friday!
Friday is our field trip! Our Monitos will have the possibility to enrich and expand their curriculum and strengthen observation skills. Make sure to return your child’s permission slip no later than Monday January 26^th so that administration can plan accordingly. We hope see you there.

Please make sure your child has extra clothes in their cubby. Please also take all unnecessary items from your child's cubby so they will look neat.  Please continue helping us during drop off time by making sure your child washes his/her hands as part of our morning routine. GRACIAS!

]"Animales del mar" " Sea Animals"

 

Happy Friday Monitos Parents!

We hope everyone had a great week! We will continue talking and learning about the Animal Kingdom and this following week we will focus on Sea Animals and how to take care of them.

This is a great topic where we have the opportunity to do different experiments during the class and the children love it! If you have any picture at home showing you and your child visiting the aquarium, please bring it to share!

We will also continue working on our daily routine, for example, washing our hands. We ask all parents to continue helping us during drop off time, to make sure your child washes his/her hands as part of our morning routine. GRACIAS!

Theme of the week: "Wild Animals"

Highlights of week:

We would like to thank you all of our wonderful Monitos parents for your tokens of love we have received during the last couple of weeks! Ms. Giselle and I are very happy and grateful for all of your love and support.

Thank you for making us feel special!

Next week we will talk about “Wild animals” including: their habitat, what they eat, their sounds, and their sizes. We will emphasize jungle animals, such as: lions, snake, and elephants with activities like art, group games, dances and parades.  On Thursday, please send one of your children’s stuffed, jungle animals with them to class. 

Also this Friday we will do a small activity in Memory of Martin Luther King Jr.

Also this week, Maury the monkey started traveling to our Monitos houses and the first one to have a chance to take Maury home will be Isaac! Enjoy him!
