Theme of the week ( tema de la semana) "Gente Y musica alrededor de Latinoamerica/ People and music around Latinamerica"

Dear Parents,

We hope you had a great Easter break. Thank you for your help and support in this Easter celebration. The Monitos had a great time finding eggs and playing with the eater bunny.

This week we will continue talking about Latin-America, especially the music, traditional children books, famous artists, and sculpture. Some activities for this week are to create maracas with water bottles, create sculptures with homemade playdough and enjoy the book Rin Rin Renacuajo by Rafael Pombo

Also our international party is this Thursday don’t forget. The Monitos are ready to show you a great performance.

Song of the week: We will be listening to all the songs for the Latin party each song represent a lot of Latin America song.

Announcement:

This coming week Maury will be visiting Aaron Baldwin’s house. He is so happy to visit his house.

Oncoming dates:

·         March 31^st We will have our International Party at the ST Raphael Catholic Church. We hope to see you all there celebrating the beauty of diversity with our children.

Remember:

·         Please make sure to keep extra clothes and underwear for your child in the cubby.

·         We need your cooperation in the classroom washing hands every morning when you get in the classroom.

Theme of the Week: "Easter Project"
 

Dear Monitos Parents,
We hope you had a good week. This week we are preparing for our Easter celebration. Our Monitos will be learning about the Easter bunny and we will decorate eggs during the activities that we have prepared for them. We will have our Easter Celebration, during which the Easter bunny will visit us and we'll pick eggs with him. We will also continue preparing and rehearsing the dance for our Latin party. Hopefully you will enjoy this new week with us as well!

At home you can help us by practicing with them their name and last name of your Monito. We are also working with them in class.

 Upcoming Events: Upcoming events:
· March 21st: Miss Cristina's Birthday.
· March 23th: We will have our Easter Celebration. We are preparing a very special day in our classroom. Please send your child with a basket that morning.
· March 25th: Good Friday, school will be closed
· March 31st: We will have our International Party on Thursday, March 31 at the St Raphael Catholic Church (St. Ignatius Hall) 5801 Falls of Neuse Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. We hope to see you all there celebrating the beauty of diversity with our children. Please mark your calendar and please let us know if your Monito will be participating.

This coming week Maury will be visiting Carlos Valdivia's house. He is so happy to visit his house.

Reminders:
· Please make sure to keep extra clothes for you child in their cubby.
· We need your cooperation in the classroom by helping your child to wash their hands every morning when they arrive to the classroom.
· Remember to take home your child’s blanket to be washed every Friday and to bring it back Monday.

Gente y musica alrededor de Latinoamerica/ People and music around Latin America

Dear Parents,

This week we will star with our rehearsals for the Latin party, and the Monitos has been doing a great job in our practice. Also we star with a new theme “people and music around Latino America” doing an emphasis in Colombia and Venezuela. One of our activity is to make flags and carnival mask and we will dance folk music from our countries.

*This coming week Maury will be visiting  Felix house. He is so happy to visit his house.

Upcoming dates:

·         March 16^th Monitos conference. Sign- up sheet is outside the door.

·         Easter celebration will be this March 23rd outside the door is the sign-up sheet for this celebration

·         March 25^th: Good Friday, school will be closed.

·         Latin party this March 31^st please save that day.
