Dear Monitos Parents

Words we will practice and learn this week:
Numbers: One to nine
Words: cold/frio, hot/caliente, go to sleep/a dormir, dance,/baile music/musica, my teacher’s country/ el pais de mi profesora, latin folklore/ folklor latinoamericano,
Our special event this week is the International Party. It will be held on Friday 13th at 3.30 p.m. at the Senior Center in Fred Bond Park.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Qadir Sampson and Adrian Villa Parrish on their third bithday.
Reminders:
Please be prompt to pick up your child at 2:30pm on Friday April 13th, the school will close in the afternoon, so we all may attend the event.
Homework: This week we will reinforce Music and Movement. As the most important people in your child’s life, you can help your child and encourage him or her creativity. There are some ways that we want to share with you, to support self-expression through music and movement, and, at the same time, nurture self-esteem.
Observe, support, encourage. Watch and listen for spontaneous expressions of music and dance. Perhaps your child may sing a song while playing with toy cars, baby dolls or riding in the car. Remember that a little encouragement supports children, while too much praise can make a child uncomfortable.
Our Easter Egg Hunt was a very special day for our Little Monkeys. They had a lot of fun at the park picking the eggs up (and eating the yummy goodies) that all our wonderful parents brought for this event. They also enjoyed the Easter Bunny.
We are so grateful to Mrs. Kirkman, Mrs. Scott and Mrs. Morales who helped with the coordination, the pictures and the success of this event. We want to let them know that we appreciate so much their help and how lucky we are to have them in our side.
Have a great week!!!!
Thank you
Ms. Amparo.
