Theme of the Month: “THE ARTS” and this
week we will focus on Literature and Drama
The new
words that we are going to learn this week are:
Story,
puppets, poetry, characters.
Special events this week: Welcome to our new
friend Amelie Porper, who will start
assisting in our classroom on May 1st
This
week we will perform Finger Puppet stories and we will learn some words in
French and Chinese.
Reminders: As part
of our language activities, we are still sharing the favorite toy or book every
Friday at Circle time. Please don’t forget to send your child’s favorite one.
Homework this week: This week we will
reinforce at home Music and Movement:
“Follow your child’s lead” Let
yourself join in children’s song and dance. They will be delighted to see you
do it their way! Sing back a line of their song or imitate a movement. This
validates their abilities instead of imposing outside values and expectations.
We got
some beautiful “All Art Together” projects for April, but we still miss the
rest. We’ll be waiting this week to get yours.
THANK YOU to Braydon’s Mom and Teague’s Mom for
your donation to the classroom. We appreciate so much your generosity. Our Little Monkeys have a beautiful way to
learn the cultural diversity through the books you brought (French language,
Chinese language and Irish holidays).THANK YOU to Lucas’s Mom for the nice breakfast party to celebrate his birthday with the Little Monkeys.
Have a
great week!!!!
Ms.
Amparo.
