This week our theme is “Knights and Princesses”. We will read stories of princess and knights

The words of the week are: Numbers: one to fifteen
Shapes: pentagon, oval, rhombus.
Words: asleep/awake, wide/thin, near/far, the seasons, yummy/yucky, where is it?, the months of the year.
Special words: knight, princess, horse, castle, dragon, armor, Shield.

Special activities of the week:

SPLASH DAYS: Monday and Thursday.

Wednesday: We will paint faces          
Thursday: Parade of princess and knights (dress up day)
Friday: Art fair of knights, princess, dragons and castles.

Reminders:

Please don’t forget your child’s towel for Splash Days.

August 10th school is open until 12:30p.m.
August 13th school is closed and
Open House Night for Parents begins at 6:00 p.m.
August 14th is our first day of school.

Our children will be visiting the Sapitos classroom in the mornings and spending some time with Miss Artemiza and Miss Kenia to promote a smooth transition.

This week and next week Miss Amparo will be on vacation, but don’t worry because Miss Karla will take good care of your children.

Our theme this week is  “The Zoo”

Words: it is hot, a lot/ few, long/short, in/out, wide/thin, the date, rhymes, what day is today?

Special words: elephant, bear, monkey, giraffe, hippopotamus, lion, zebra, tiger, snake.

Special activities this week:

SPLASH DAY: Monday and Thursday.

Monday: Crazy hair.

Tuesday: The Little Monkeys will make colorful jello

Wednesday: We will prepare our masks for the festival.

Thursday: We will learn rhymes.

Friday: We will have The Mask Festival.

Homework this week :
Talk to your child about animals they will see at the zoo.

Words: On/under, hard/soft, who wants it?, the weather

Special words: Basketball, tennis, baseball, soccer, football, athletics, cycling, ball, exercise, bicycle, security, helmet.

Special events this weekly

BRAYDON PLUMMER turned three on Sunday and we had a special B-day celebration last Friday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!! BIG BOY.

Activities this week are:

SPLASH DAY: Monday and Thursday.

Tuesday: We will dress like an athlete

Wednesday: We will ride our tricycle/bicycle (bring your favorite tricycle and helmet).
Thursday: We will dress our favorite team Jersey and we will make a torch and a medal.

Friday: We will have a Sff! Olympics and the Little Monkeys Team will wear a RED SHIRT.

Please check your child’s cubby every day.

Words: I’m sorry, again, help me, front, back, turn off, turn on, how do you say?

Special words: paleontologist, dig, shovel, fossil, dinosaurs, tyrannosaurus, diplodocus, triceratops,the pterodactyl, square,  rectangle.

Our activities this week are:

SPLASH DAYS: Monday and Thursday.

Monday: we will do a dinosaur with wood sticks.

Tuesday: We will do a paleontologist’s hat.

Wednesday: We will do a fossil.

Thursday: Bring your child’s favorite dinosaur.

Friday: We will do an expedition to find fossils in the sand.

Special Events:

Congratulations to Braydon Plummer who is turning 3 this week. Happy Birthday!

Reminders for parents:

Please check your child’s cubby for wet or soiled clothes.

Homework this week:

We will learn everything about dinosaurs.

Feelings: happy, sad, angry, tired, hungry, thirsty

Special words: The meaning of independence, the States, the President, the Flag, the Eagle, White House, Stars, basket, tablecloth, fruits, field, ants.

Our activities this week are:

SPLASH DAY: Monday and Thursday.
Monday: we will prepare a Special Hat for Independence Day
Tuesday: We will sing the Star Spangled Banner and have a Parade
Wednesday: The school is closed.
Thursday: We will have a picnic at the playground
Friday: We will play a lot of games at the park celebrating Independence Day.

Reminders:
Please bring extra clothes according to the weather and don’t forget a towel for Splash Days.

Homework this week:
We will talk about USA and the symbols of the country .
