Week of October 15-19th!

Continuing with our Curriculum our theme for the next two weeks is

“My Family – Mi Famillia”.

Words of the week (Palabras que se van a utilizar esta semana):

We will continue learning and working with the same numbers, shape and color from de last two weeks.

Words/Palabras: My mother/mi mama, my father/mi papa, my brother/mi hermano, my sister/mi hermana, my grandmother/mi abuela, my grandfather/mi abuelo, the baby/el bebe.

Special words/Palabras especiales: Fall/el Otono, the leaves/las hojas, the pumpkin/la calabaza, the farm/la granja,.

Special events this week:

·         Friday 19 is Grandparent’s Day

·         This week Mauri The Monkey will visit Monica’s home. Maury is so happy and grateful this school year, he didn’t expect to get so much love and attention from the Little Monkeys.    

Reminders (Recordatorios a los Padres de Familia):

As part of the activities related to the theme that we will be talking for the next two weeks, we are planning to have a special time looking and recognizing the members of our children’s family in the Family corner every day, so PLEASE!!! Don’t forget to bring your family pictures.

On Friday 26th we will have our Field trip to the farm, please don’t forget to fill up your form and return it to the office. Thank you

Homework this week (Tarea de esta semana):

Last week we send the second “All Art Together” project: a pumpkin, you will have a week to work with your child and be as much creative as you did with the first project.

The Little Monkeys will make a special art project for their grandparents this Thursday.

Other/Thank you/Upcoming events (Otros/Agradecimientos/Proximos eventos):

We would like to invite our children’s grandparents to come and spend some time with them here at the school. You can read a book, show some pictures, talk about your grandchild’s favorite things, make an art project with the children, sing some songs or whatever you would like to do. We have a signup sheet at the door with two times: at 10.00 a.m and 3.30 p.m. on Friday 19th.
