Week of November 26-30th!

Dear Monitos Parents:

Thank you to our wonderful parents and grandparents who collaborated and shared with us the Thanksgiving Celebration. This event was a success because of you all, and the children were so happy. We appreciate it so much.

Theme of the Month/Week (Tema del Mes/Semana): “My Country”/ “Mi Pais

We will continue with the same words, shape, color and numbers that we have been practicing this month.

Continuaremos con las mismas palabras, figura geométrica, color y números que hemos estado practicando este mes.

Special Words/Palabras especiales: EE.UU./Estados Unidos, my country/mi país, the President/el Presidente, the Banner and its colors/la bandera y sus colores, the National Anthem/el Himno Nacional, the eagle/el aguila, North Carolina/Carolina del Norte..

Special events this week/Welcome/Student of the week/Birthdays (Eventos especiales esta semana/Bienvenida/Estudiante de la Semana/Cumpleanos):

This week Mauri The Monkey will visit Marisa’s home. He is very happy to go with her. HAVE FUN!!!!  

Remainders (Recordatorios a los Padres de Familia):

Please don’t forget to take home your child’s blanket on Friday and bring it back on Monday.

As a friendly remainder: we are still waiting for some parents to pick up a week for The Student of the Week. Ask the Teachers to show you where the signup sheet is posted.

Homework this week (Tarea de esta semana):

To reinforce the theme of this week, please talk to your children about the special events, holidays and places in North Carolina. Show them the map of our State and identify where we live.

Next Friday we will be sending home the template of a sock stocking (stocking and topper) to be working with your child with Christmas decoration (All Art Together project for December). You and your child will have two weeks to display your imagination and creativity.

Other/Thank you/Upcoming events (Otros/Agradecimientos/Proximos eventos):

On Monday we will be giving your child’s Report Card with the evaluation of the First Quarter, please take a moment to read it, make a comment, sign it and return it by Monday.  The Parent-Teacher Conference will be held on December 3rd, and we have a sheet at the entrance of our classroom with times.

 

Our class will be in charge to decorate the Board for the month of December (at the entrance of our School), if you have any article about the upcoming events, please feel free to bring it and we will post it on the board. Thank You.
