Ms. Cristina & Ms. Giselle
Theme of the week: “ The Universe and Me/ El Universo y yo ”
Week of June 1st - June 5th

This week we will begin a new and very interesting topic: “The Universe”. Our children love it because they can create and learn so much about the sun, the stars and the moon. Our goal is to spark curiosity in our Monitos and teach them how to recognize the following: when the sun comes out, if the stars are shining, the differences between the sun, the moon, day, night, and other fun facts!

At home, Mom and Dad can sing the song “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” read with them about this theme and show them real pictures about the sun, stars, and moon.

SONG /CANCION
Planetas
Buenos días ya salió el sol
Miro hacia el cielo, las nubes de algodón
Buenas noches, la luna salió
Muchas estrellitas luceros de amor.
Estrellas, planetas
Luna y sol
Cuida nuestra tierra y llénala de amor.

Poesía/ Poem
El sol tiene frio
No quiere salir
Oculto entre las nubes
Se ha puesto a dormer
Le llama la luna
Le llama la flor
El sol esta sordo
Es un dormilón.

Adivinanza/ Riddle
Doy calorcito
Soy muy Redondo
Salgo prontito
Y tarde me escondo.

           El sol

Theme of the week: “How Things Work”
Week of May 18th-May 22nd
Hola Monitos Parents,
This week we will have an emphasis on three ways of communication, including: the television, the phone, and the letter. Our goal for this week for the children to recognize these three communication methods using fun activities. This week, for an activity, the Monitos will draw his/her favorite cartoon TV show and with this draw we will make a television show narrated by the teacher.

Outside of the classroom, there will be a mailbox where we would like to ask you to write a small letter for your child telling them how much you love them and how much you appreciate the job they do at the school. Please place it in the mailbox between Monday and Thursday in the morning. On that Thursday we will make a special activity with that letter. At home, you can talk with your child about these three communication methods and show them how they work.

Poesia/ poem for mother day
  sabes mamita cuánto te quiero
te lo he dicho mil veces
sólo con besos
pero hoy es tu día
y te lo digo de nuevo
te quiero mamita
así hasta el cielo.

Adivinanza 1/Riddle 1
Va por el cielo
Como ventarron
Lleva pasajeros
Y anda a motor
  el avion
