Week of August 31^st- September 4th

Theme of the Week: "My Body" / “ Mi Cuerpo”

 Dear Monitos Families,

I hope everyone had a great week! Our goal for this week is for our Monitos to identify their face and body parts. We will start to recognize the red color. We will make faces with paper plates, some body silhouettes In addition, we will have many physical activities where the Monitos can move their body parts. Also, on Friday, we will have a puppet show about equality.

“CANCION PARTES DEL CUERPO” / “Song Body Parts”

Las partes de mi cuerpo hoy yo voy a cantar,

Bailando con mis amigos,

cada parte moverás

Empiezo con mis bracitos

con los que puedo abrazar

con mucho amor a Papito

y luego a mi Mamá

moviendo la cabeza yo digo si o no

moviendo mi colita bailando yo estoy

ya todos preparados pues vamos aprender

las partes del cuerpo que tu vas a mover.

Piernas y cabeza

Pies, brazos cuello y cadera

Hombros, manos y rodillas

Pies brazos y piernas (X2)

Tengo dos ojos

una nariz

y tambien una boquita

para comer y sonreir.

Con los ojos veo todo

con la nariz hago achiiis

y con la boca yo como

palomitas de maiz.

Con ellas podemos correr

podemos saltar

podemos caminar

sabes quien sera?

Student of the Week

Our First Student of the Week is Felix Diaz! Congratulations! We can’t wait to learn more about you and your family.

Note: Make sure to sign up for this activity which starts next week. Signup sheet is outside our classroom.

Reminders:

·         Make sure to keep extra clothing inside your child’s cubby

·         Wash your hands every morning at drop off

·         Read and fill out your child’s journal every day

Sept 7th - Labor Day - Sff! closed

Sept 11th – Grandparent’s Day. All Grandparents are cordially invited to our special morning celebration. Time to be determined next week.
