πŸ”  What are we learning?

Dear Monitos Parents,
This week we will learn to be little travelers and we will celebrate the country where we live. The children will learn about interesting facts of USA. We are going to discuss about the american flag, its color and the stars and what they represent. We are scheduling exciting learning activities that will allow us to continue strengthening motor and cognitive-sensory skills such as:
      Reading books about United States.
      Build a plane with boxes.
      Create the American Flag with printed paper balls.

      Have your child wear a swimsuit if the Splash days are taking place in the mornings.

πŸ”† Friendly Reminders
      Check your child’s cubby and make sure to bring extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather.
      Sunscreen and mosquito repellant are important to protect your child because he/she is very susceptible to sunburn/mosquito bites. Yet applying sunscreen and mosquito repellent to your child requires planning. If sunscreen and mosquito repellent must be applied to your child, make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when sunscreen and mosquito repellant should be applied and be sure to supply the sunscreen and mosquito repellant, label the bottles with your child's name and place them in a ziploc bag. We will also appreciate if sunscreen is applied to the child in the morning before dropping him/her at the preschool.
      Remove wet clothing from the cubby on Splash days.

Dear Monitos Parents,
Our summer camp is finally here! We are so excited that we are able to keep encouraging children learn new things and develop their creativity while having a fun and exciting time. We are scheduling exciting learning activities that will allow us to continue strengthening motor and cognitive-sensory skills such as cooking and baking. We will work with easy recipes and enjoy fruit salad, a delicious lemonade, pizza and a carrot cake.

This week the children will be reviewing the topic “geometric shapes” through play. We have scheduled exciting learning activities that will allow us strengthen math, motor and cognitive-sensory skills.  Some of these activities are as follows:

      Build homes with blocks
      Create shapes with cotton and pallets
      Play memory games.

This week the children will be reviewing the topic “Colors” through play. We have scheduled exciting learning activities that will allow us strengthen math, motor and cognitive-sensory skills.  Some of these activities are as follows:
      Identify the color of the fruits.
      Use senses, children will touch, smell and observe.

     Please bring one fruit for Thursday, June 9th. We are going to prepare a fruit salad for the children.
      Please help us to get recycle material such as small boxes, soda cans, newspaper, paper towel roll and plastic bottles. We are going to use these material for our Father’s Day Celebration.
      Children should wear a t-shirt in any of the following colors: red, green, yellow or blue.

      Parent-Teacher conferences Thursday, June 9th. There would be a sign-up sheet outside the classroom indicating date and time.
